I went through the Woolsey Fire and lost everything. This is the face of that time — letting go of all I could not carry, and being lost for a while.
Ash is one of the mediums I draw with now, because of what I lived through. What has burned becomes the building blocks of something new — like a phoenix, born from the ashes. Something burned becomes something beautiful.
Please note — the room photos are previews only, to help you imagine this print in a space, and the print can look bigger in them than it really is. Please go by the size you choose — the prints come in sizes from 8″ × 10″ up to 16″ × 20″. This is a fine art print of an original artwork. If you would love the original itself, you can see it here: The Face After the Fire.
The original is a drawing in ash on paper, 14″ × 11″, from ArtiR's sketchbook.
This canvas print is made to order and gallery-wrapped, ready to hang. The picture carries a fine line around it in a soft ash grey taken from the drawing itself.
Collectible artwork by ArtiR, abstract artist based in Malibu, California.
