The Face After the Fire
Original drawing in ash on paper, from my sketchbook. Unframed.
I went through the Woolsey Fire and lost everything. This is the face of that time — letting go of all I could not carry, and being lost for a while.
Ash is one of the mediums I draw with now, because of what I lived through. What has burned becomes the building blocks of something new — like a phoenix, born from the ashes. Something burned becomes something beautiful.
Collectible artwork by ArtiR, abstract artist based in Malibu, California.
Signed by the artist on the front.
Please note — the room photos are previews only, to help you imagine the piece in a space. The artwork can look bigger in them than it really is: this original is 14″ × 11″, so please go by the size, not the room picture. Any frame shown is for display purposes only and is not included. If you would love this piece in a larger size, it is also available as a fine art print in bigger sizes, up to 16″ × 20″.
